>Friends and Family Service in CDMA (Prepaid-Postpaid):
For the CDMA (Prepaid-Postpaid) in accordance to this service tariff for per minute call is only just 55 paisa. Before this, tariff was 70 paisa and you can only use for 3 different numbers. Now you save 15 paisa in each minutes on call and you can use this service for the 5 different numbers.
>Friends and Family Service in GSM Postpaid:
NTC has provided this service in GSM Postpaid too. To start this service in GSM Postpaid is little bit different than GSM Prepaid and CDMA (Prepaid-Postpaid). In GSM Postpaid Type FNF and make space and type 5 different numbers on which you want to start service and send SMS to 1400.
#2# HOW TO ACTIVATE NTC 3G ? [Source: techsansar.com]
Activating or enabling 3G on your NT SIM card is pretty easy. The process for any of the mobile phone subscription type – Namaste pre paid or Post Paid in NTC is the same.
Existing Nepal Telecom Post-paid and Pre-Paid users can activate 3G by SMS. Just type 3G and send SMS to 1400. This is a free SMS for activation of NTC 3G.
You will get an automated SMS reply saying “Thank you for subscribing 3G service. You will be connected by 5 PM next working day. Nepal Telecom”
For all new NTC SIM card holder, the service is enabled by default. In case you are not sure, just send in a free SMS as mentioned above.
>HOW TO SUBSCRIBE NTC 3G IN EXISTING 2G SIM CARD?
Even though the steps and explanation mentioned above applies equally to the existing 2G SIM cards of Nepal Telecom, you can simply convert 2G Sim to 3G Sim following the same steps as above, we repeat:
Type 3G in text message .
Send it to 1400.
Then you will receive message “Thank you for subscribing 3G service.You will be connected by 5 PM next working day:Nepal Telecom”
3G service will be activated in 2G sim within 2 days.
Voila, now proceed to settings for 3G in your mobile phone for peace of your mind. 3G subscription charge for 3G activation is Rs 100.
>HOW TO NTC 3G APN SETTING?
Even though many customers do not need to set up APN for using 3G as just enabling 3G on their SIM card will let them use cellular data on existing and available 3G network, other users might need the setting. Also do note, smart phones like iPhone do not need any kind of such settings. These NTC 3G APN settings are the same for both GPRS/EDGE or 3G subscription data types.

To use NT 3G on your device, use the following settings:

Since 3G and GPRS in NT Cellular network as of now work under same proxy server (users under the old BTS coverage), you can request an automatic GPRS configuration setting for your specific mobile handset using a special query as mentioned below.

>HOW TO SUBSCRIBE NTC 3G INTERNET DATA?
Nepal Telecom has not yet released 3G data packages for subscription. So, Pay As You Go (PAYG) scheme which is a normal scheme now for both pre-paid namaste and post users – either individual or corporate users applies.
The 3G data rate in NT 3G cellular network is Rs 0.10 per 100Kb of data which means Rs 1 per Mb (exclusive of taxes) for both prepaid and post paid subscription. Customer can subscribe various data packages to their Sky-pro, Sky-phone and Sky-data services through SMS. One must have sufficient balance to subscribe data package. Currently available data packages are as below.

How to Subscribe ?
Customer can subscribe data package by sending SMS to 1415 from corresponding number. For example: to subscribe 10 GB data package, send SMS as ‘DATA10GB’ to 1415, similarly to subscribe 5 GB data package send SMS ‘DATA5GB’ to 1415 and so on.
Query remaining data volume and validity
There are two ways to Query remaining data volume and validity of your Data Package (Sky-pro, Sky-phone, Sky-data).
SMS
To query your remaining data volume through SMS, type ‘vl’ and send SMS to 1415.
Web
The data volume and validity query can also be made via web portal. This service will be available soon.
Query your Balance
IVR
To query your balance through IVR, dial 1415 and follow instructions.
SMS
To query your balance through SMS, type ‘bl’ and send SMS to 1415.
#4# Ntc reduced Data rates for GSM Prepaid users (Namaste) and Introduced Cheap Data Packs [Source: pranish.com.np]

Nepal Telecom have introduced new cheap data packages targeting its prepaid GSM (Namaste) subscribers. New volume based data packages includes 3 types of packs according to price and volume of data:
1. Bronze
2. Silver
3. Gold
Bronze:
a. 200 MB – 130 Rs – 1 month Validity
b. 500 MB – 300 Rs – 1 month Validity
Silver:
a. 1 GB – 500 RS – 1 month Validity
b. 3 GB – 1290 Rs- 2 months Validity
Gold:
a. 5 GB – 1800 Rs – 3 months Validity
b. 10 GB – 2800 Rs – 6 months Validity
Above price is exclusive of taxes and will be available from Bhadra 1, 2072 B.S.
Additionally prepaid subscriber can enjoy existing data rate at Rs 1 per MB without any data pack. NTC Prepaid subscribers were waiting for volume based data pack from long time. It is to see if this new data packs can attracts customers or not.
How to subscribe data packs?
To subscribe data packs in your prepaid mobile, Customers need to type “Data200MB” and send it to 1415 for 200 MB. Similarly for 10 GB data customers need to type “Data10GB” and send it to 1415. The rated price will be deducted from customers mobile and they can use the stated data volume for internet within the duration that it is valid for.
To find the remaining data volume, customers need to type VL and send it to 1415.
It was in April that NT launched data and voice combo pack for postpaid customers but prepaid Customers have been demanding data packages from long and were continuously raising their voice in social medias. Adressing public demand, now ntc have also launched smaller and low price data pack.

Please note that after adding first 5 numbers in your group, each addition, modification or deletion of the numbers will be charged Rs. 5.
How much is the charge?
Rs. 20/month will be charged as service fee every month. The service will be auto-renewed every month. If you want to deactivate the service, dial 5599 or *5599# and then press 6.
If you want to try the service for one month only, dial 5588 and follow the instructions.

This service is applicable for all prepaid tariff.

Now record your voice and send it to your friends and family. It is fun and a lot more personal than just texts.
To send a voice SMS:
Type * followed by the recipient’s mobile number and press the call button.
Listen to the instruction and record your message after the beep tone.
Hang up phone to send the message.
Sending one Voice SMS will cost Re. 1 (excl. of taxes)
To listen to the voice SMS:
When you receive a Voice SMS, you will receive a notification via SMS.
Then, dial # followed by the sender’s mobile number and press the call button.
Listening to the voice SMS is free of charges.
#9# Fnf in ncell
Type Add<space>number(which you want to add) and send SMS to 300. This service is applicable in Ramro tariff only.
To know whether your sim is sajilo or ramro:
Dial *900# and press 2 (Services operations) and send.
If your sim is in Ramro tariff, you will see option 3 saying 'Change tariff plan to Sajilo'.
If your sim is in Sajilo tariff, you will not see this option.
#10# Balance Transfer Ncell
What is Ncell Balance Transfer?
Now Ncell Prepaid users can send and receive balance anytime, anywhere from their mobile to their friend's or family’s Ncell numbers.
Do I need to activate this service?
Prepaid users have to dial 17122 for free to activate the service.
How to utilize this service?
To transfer balance, dial *17122*<Type receiver’s mobile number>*<Type transfer amount>#.
For example, to transfer Rs. 10, dial *17122*98XXXXXXXX*10#
What is the minimum amount that I can transfer?
You can transfer minimum Rs. 10 at a time and up to three times in a day.
What is the maximum amount that I can transfer?
You can transfer maximum Rs. 200 at a time and up to three times in a day.
Is there any service charge to transfer balance?
Re. 1 (excl. of taxes) will be deducted as service charge from the transferred amount.
Can I transfer balance to all Ncell users' numbers?
You can transfer balance from Prepaid to Prepaid numbers only
How can I utilize the transferred amount?
The transferred amount can be utilized for making calls, sending SMS/MMS and surfing internet.

How to recharge your account?
When your balance runs low, recharge your account using recharge cards and following any of the below mentioned procedure:
Dial *102*PIN number of recharge card# and then press the call button
Dial 90012 and then enter the PIN number of your recharge card.
Type the PIN number of your recharge card and send SMS to 90012.
Ncell recharge cards are available in Ncell Centres, Ncell Shops and other authorized shops across the nation.
You can also recharge your account for Rs. 10 and above from any of the nearest Ncell authorized outlets using e-recharge.
Get Bonus with every recharge
With every recharge of Rs. 100 and above, you will get bonus balance which you can use to call or text your friends and family within Ncell network or to surf internet in your mobile.
The bonus balance you receive will depend on how much amount you recharged and how many days you have been using the SIM card.

1. While calculation of customer’s length (e.g. months, years) of presence in the network, the change in mobile number will not affect the initial period. Meaning that no matter how many SIM cards or telephone numbers customer change – calculation of his length of presence in the network starts from the first day of joining the network.
2. Top up values are not accumulated. Bonus is not given on the basis of sum for values nominal of top-ups but for one time value of top-up. For example: if customer tops-up Rs 50 twice, the amount is not counted as Rs 100 one time top-up and therefore customer is not accounted to have bonus amount.
3. Recharge from all channels are valid for getting bonus amount after top-up which includes Recharge cards, e-recharge, Cash, Bank and Online Payment.
